I was doing a renovation several years ago that involved installing vinyl replacement windows. They came with the vinyl head extender C-channels, which weren’t necessary for this job. They seemed like they could be useful for something, and I didn’t want to throw them out, so I put them in the back of my shop with all of the other ‘potentially useful’ things. I’ve used them for protecting corners of furniture and for entertaining my nephew by making tracks to roll marbles or cars down, but the best use I’ve found was as a wire management raceway under a desk shelves. Using a long screw bit, there’s enough flexibility to screw the back side to the cabinet tight up to the underside of the shelf. To add or remove wires you can simply pull down the front edge, when you let go it snaps tight again.
