Here is an unusual custom Cabinet I built. The carcasses are furniture grade birch veneer plywood. The face frame is poplar. The doors are also poplar with a birch plywood panel. These cabinets were built around a chimney which makes things that much more exciting. The chimney was offset inside the unit to allow enough clearance to get to the bathroom between the nightstand in the corner of the cabinet . The center panel is a 1 1/4” wider than the two doors flanking it. Although hardly noticeable it brings a unique visual aspect to the piece that I love. On the bottom of the cabinet are decorative feet that are cut into the baseboard to allow good air flow for the HVAC vent in the floor. You can check out the video on FB, and search Buddy Savoie.
