Recently I wanted to staple up some low voltage wire in my crawlspace. Neither my manual nor electric staple gun had a built-in standoff setting, so I improvised. I taped a 1/8” horseshoe shim around the piston opening on my staple gun, and that allowed me to shoot staples that stood proud by just over 1/6”. Plus, the ends of the shim helped frame the area where the staple would fall.
A piece of tape holds the shin in place, and the width of the shim frames the staple piston opening.

Very innovative Idea. Could you do same for the nailers?
I really like it. Keep it up!
