For years I have looked for a bench and/or stands for a compound miter saw. I started using a 12 or 16 foot extension ladder set on saw horses. A plywood base is set in the rails of the ladder and blocks of wood as spacers as needed each side. I also use this for a planer when planning long pieces of wood.
