To accurately install panels that need to sit on the floor with no visible means of support, screw a screw into the floor centered in the width towards the front end of the panel. Grind the head off the screw and drill a corresponding oversized hole in the bottom of the panel. Fill the hole with plumber’s epoxy putty and drop the panel over the screw. temporarily hold the panel in place until the epoxy sets – about 10 minutes. The combination of the oversized hole and quick-setting epoxy makes for very dead-accurate, quick, and permanent locating of panels.
