I used deck cleaner and a power washer to clean my deck to get it ready for stain. But when it dried, there were lots of fuzzy wood fibers everywhere. I could’ve powerwashed it again, but didn’t have ample time to let it dry a second time and still get it stained. I thought about sanding it, but it would’ve taken too long … until I decided to try a drywall pole sander. The 80-grit open mesh sanding sheets cut the fuzz easily without clogging up, and the pole let me stand upright and sand the deck boards. It was a huge time saver and the deck looks great.
