Granted, the easiest DIY is to cut a 2″ x 4″ to 14 1/2″ long and use that, but they get stuck when driving nails. So take a 19″ x 5″ piece of 3/4″ sheet goods, make a few cuts like the attached drawing, round a few edges for comfort and you’ve got a quality tool with a handle and perfect, repetitive spacing every time.
