Avoid Making Lap Marks When Painting
Lap marks result in an uneven painted surface. Watch this simple how-to on achieving clean overlaps when painting.

Lap marks occur when wet paint overlaps a dry edge. To avoid lap marks, fully load a roller with paint. Then, working in manageable sections, apply the paint with consistent pressure and even rolling patterns, ensuring the paint remains wet at overlaps. To finish, use a paint brush to brush back into wet areas and top off the finish while the paint is wet so overlaps flow seamlessly.
