Pull-down attic stairs are a handy way to allow access without giving up a lot of space. That’s why they are used so often. Literally thousands and thousands of homes feature these ladders. The big issue is they are a major source of energy inefficiency. The Louisville Pinnacle Series is made to help solve this problem.
The door is insulated with R-10 extruded foam and the design features weather stripping to reduce air leakage.
The Pinnacle Series has a 375 lb. load capacity and the ladder itself is aluminum with a slip-resistant cross tread step. The shoes are adjustable, which allows each of the two current models to fit ceiling heights from 7 ft. 7 in. to 10 ft. 3 in. Both models have wide clearance. one offers a 17 5/8-in. width and the other is 20 5/8 in. Both have 43 3/4 in. long openings.
