Bruce is in charge of coaching three students framing the garage walls. Since they are only on-site for about 100 minutes each day, Bruce preps the tools and materials so his crew can be as productive as possible.
The students started by figuring out how out of level the mudsill is using a rotary laser and receiver. Then they cut and installed shims at each stud location, so when the walls are tilted up, they’ll be flat and level.
The first day, they laid out the plates, framed in the window and door opening, and nailed in the studs. The following day, they laid out the rim joist for the garage-attic floor system and screwed it to the wall plate. Then they sheathed the wall.

mudsill out of level ? supervision? tz tz tz
Can happen to everyone
I see a lot of fill and damping in that garagefloor. I understand the grade dropped off dramatically to make it necessary. Alternatively they could have used pre-stressed concrete panels as garage floor. Lift it in with a crane, 2" topping - done
