Protecto Super Stick Building tape can be installed at temperatures as low as -20°F (-28.88°C) and adheres to all commonly used substrates without the use of a primer or mechanical fasteners, making it a year-round product in most markets.
One aspect that differentiates Protecto Super Stick Building Tape from other materials is the high-tack, pressure-sensitive adhesive combined with a high-performance facer film. Super Stick tape is nontoxic and nonallergenic and contains no VOCs, HFCCs, or CFCs. In addition, there is no off-gassing of any sort associated with the manufacture or installation.
Once installed, Protecto Super Stick Building Tape maintains its elasticity and splice integrity when subjected to severe ultraviolet rays, thermal shock, and extreme high and low temperatures. The poly film release liner (on 6-inch and wider rolls) allows the tape to adhere to the substrate while leaving a portion of the release liner in place for integration of weather-resistive barrier at a later time. Super Stick tape comes in widths of 3-, 4-, 6-, 9-, and 12-inch widths, making it easy for builders to find a solution that meets their specific needs.
